ClassGrade Pilot ("we," "us," or "our") provides an AI-assisted rubric grading tool for Google Classroom teachers. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use our website, dashboard, and Chrome extension at classgradepilot.com.

We build for K-12 and higher-ed workflows. We process limited student-related content only to provide grading services you request, and we design our product so teachers remain in control of what reaches students.

We collect information in three broad categories: account information, service data, and technical data.

• Account information: name, email address, and authentication identifiers when you sign in with Google or a dev login in non-production environments.
• Service data: rubrics you upload, grading job metadata, scores, feedback you approve, usage limits tied to your plan, and billing status for paid subscriptions.
• Student submission text: read from Google Classroom only when you run a grading job. Submission text is processed in memory for that request and is not stored as raw submission content after grading completes.
• Technical data: browser type, extension version, IP address (used for free-tier abuse prevention), and standard server logs for security and reliability.

We use collected information to operate and improve the service, including:

• Authenticating your account and keeping you signed in
• Importing rosters, scoring submissions against your rubric, and exporting grades you approve
• Enforcing plan limits (such as monthly student credits)
• Processing subscription payments through our payment processor
• Providing support and responding to your requests
• Detecting abuse, fraud, and security incidents

Teachers and schools are responsible for determining whether use of third-party tools is permitted under their policies and applicable laws, including FERPA and COPPA where they apply.

ClassGrade Pilot acts as a service provider processing student-related information on your instructions when you run grading. We do not use student submission content to train public AI models. We store the scores and feedback you approve, not long-term copies of raw Google Classroom submissions.

School or district customers requiring a data processing agreement (DPA) may contact us using our contact form.

We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to run the service:

• Infrastructure and AI providers that process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security obligations
• Payment processing for Pro subscriptions (handled by Polar)
• Google when you choose Google sign-in or connect Google Classroom workflows
• Legal or safety disclosures when required by law or to protect rights and security

We retain account and grading records while your account is active so you can review history and reuse rubrics. You may request deletion of your account data through our contact form.

Server logs and security records are retained for a limited period appropriate for troubleshooting and abuse prevention.

You can sign out, disconnect the extension, or delete rubrics and grading history from your dashboard where those controls are available.

Nothing is posted to Google Classroom without your explicit approval of each grade.

You may use our contact form to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with your account, subject to legal and operational requirements.

We may process and store information in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. By using the service, you understand that your information may be transferred to jurisdictions with different data protection laws.

The service is intended for use by teachers and authorized school personnel. Student accounts do not sign up directly for ClassGrade Pilot. Schools and teachers are responsible for obtaining any required consents before using third-party tools with student work.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the last updated date.
